OF MAN: BUILDING BRIDGES The song is an homage to the feelings and emotion I experienced when my new bride, Suzanne, told me she was pregnant with our first child, Sterling. "Part of me, is part of you...We're on our way, Building Bridges Together." Each line of the song (and the textures of the record) was crafted to reflect the joy and future hope I felt in being a father and building the bridge of life with someone with whom I was so in love that I had to express it in a song and make a record to memorialize the moment. Raun agreed, so together, we had a few bottles of wine and shared our views of life, love, procreation and eternal bonding. This song speaks to that and will always live in my heart as one of my favorite works - both in song and in atmospheric record making. Twelve years later, as I write these notes, I am even more in love with Suzanne. She has stood by me all this time, given me another miracle, our son Morgan, and shared all of my journeys. On the musical, professional, business and cinematic fronts, she has been there all the way. Even more so, she has encouraged, supported and contributed such enormous insight, brain cells and ingenuity to everything I do each and every day, that together we were able to establish a company - Morling Manor Music and Media. Morling Manor is our home. It is named after our sons, Morgan and Sterling, and the Morling Manor plaque is on the gate at the front of our loving home. Our life is about family and so is our company. It started to take shape after we met, and it came to fruition when our children were born. "Building Bridges" speaks to all of that.
