Film and Music Producer Spencer ProfferÕs Morling Manor MediaÑand Proffer himselfÑhave joined the production team of the highly acclaimed Broadway musical, IT AINÕT NOTHINÕ BUT THE BLUES. The deal was negotiated with Eric Krebs, lead producer of the Show, which has recently received four 1999 Tony nominations including Best Musical. "BLUES" has been packing them in at Lincoln Center throughout the spring and summer and will be moving to the legendary Ambassador Theatre in September. Given the success and acclaim, the Show adds a second company for its Los Angeles premiere at the Geffen Playhouse in early November, 1999.

Proffer will also produce and mix the Cast Album, which will be recorded live at Lincoln Center. Several legendary blues artists will supplement the original cast with special guest appearances. Additionally, Proffer and Morling will create an enhanced CD that will feature a major blues artist handling the narrative of the evolution of the art form, coupled with pictures from the stage show and historical stills from the Smithsonian tracing the origins of the blues and the artists who brought the music to prominence in the United States. The release date and distributor will be announced shortly.
