Morling Manor Music and Media

Sony/ATV Music Publishing President, Richard Rowe, and Executive Vice President, Jody Graham Dunitz, today announced an exclusive long term agreement with Spencer Proffer and Morling Manor Music and Media to administer Proffer's and Morling's copyrights on a worldwide basis, and to co-publish select projects with which Morling Manor Music & Media is involved.

Spencer Proffer will act as a Consultant to Sony/ATV Music Publishing with respect to the placement of Sony/ATV copyrights in Morling's film and television productions as well as projects where Morling and its staff perform music, production and supervision services.

"The root and anchor of Morling Manor is the creation and application of music copyrights in the projects it produces and supervises," remarked Jody Graham Dunitz, "which makes this association an ideal match. Our strengths and Morling's complement each other, and given Spencer Proffer's pervasive presence in music, video and film entertainment circles, we anticipate several opportunities for maximizing these copyrights presenting themselves on a regular basis."

Sony/ATV Music Publishing will now take over the administration of a multitude of Morling Manor Music & Media copyrights ranging from television series to such film projects as the Academy(R) and Golden Globe(R) Award-winning feature, Gods and Monsters, on which Spencer Proffer served as a Co-Executive Producer and Supervising Music Producer, and whose music Morling Manor Music & Media co-publishes and administers. Proffer and Morling Manor, together with Dan Paulson also Executive Produced Mr. Music, starring Mick Fleetwood, which is currently airing on Showtime.

Morling Manor Music & Media is a unique film, television and music production company which specializes in creating and placing music copyrights in projects it produces and supervises. The company has 12 films and two series in active development with partners ranging from CBS Television Productions, VH1, Phoenix, Pearson, Davis Entertainment, to Showtime Networks with whom Morling has an ongoing relationship providing music and film production services in addition to overseeing the creative and administrative functions for the music in connection with many of their original productions.

Spencer Proffer, Morling Manor Music & Media's principal, is today recognized as a pioneer in the area of organically integrating music with film and television. He has served as Supervising Music Producer on more than 60 films and a dozen TV programs. On many of these projects he also produced the music and wrote key featured songs, receiving a 1997 Cable Ace(R) Best Original Song nomination for the film "Twilight Of The Golds," a Regent production starring Faye Dunaway and Brendan Fraser.

As a record producer, Spencer Proffer has produced and arranged music selling millions of recordings for artists as diverse as Tina Turner, Stevie Wonder, The Little River Band, Heart, Cheap Trick, Jon Secada and Marc Anthony, to Graham Nash, Brian May of Queen and Quiet Riot. He has had more than 250 songs recorded and released, with 80 of them included in film and television projects, by such Artists as Bette Midler, Dionne Warwick, Kenny Loggins, James Ingram, En Vogue, Salt ‘N Pepa, Gladys Knight, Eddie Money and Edgar Winter, to name just a few.

Sony/ATV Music Publishing owns and/or administers the catalogues of Babyface, The Beatles, Leonard Cohen, Miles Davis, Neil Diamond, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Joni Mitchell, Stevie Nicks, Nile Rodgers and many others, in addition to film and television music from Miramax Films, October Films, New Line Cinema, The Shooting Gallery and Sony Pictures Entertainment. Sony/ATV also represents such writers as Bryan Adams, Lauryn Hill, Cyndi Lauper and Sarah McLachlan.
